Hello everyone, and welcome to this issue of the Tarnished Truth.

I'll kick off the newsletter with a couple of announcements. First off, I would like to remind everyone that there are only two more chances to submit anything for the 2007 Newsletter Contest. Since the newsletter has moved to a bi-monthly publication, that means only two more newsletters will be issued before the year's end. Remember, submissions will be accepted through December 1st. After the final 2007 newsletter, I will open the contest up to the members to vote for their favorite piece.

Secondly, with Ralph Huntzinger on vacation, I would like to announce a recent decision made by the WINS Board. As many of you know, August has been the standard month to open the elections for all WINS Board positions, with new two-year terms beginning in October. In effort to create a cleaner transition and get in step with the rest of the world, the Board discussed extending the election time by 2 months to have officials take office in January. This discussion led to Motion #2007-04, which was passed unanimously by all Board Members. This means that future elections will begin in October, instead of August, with the new terms beginning on the 1st of January. In this, it allows for all future board terms to hold office for two full and complete calendar years.

Since our last newsletter, we've had another auction, #44, which came to a successful close. This auction launched with a new format - A Silent Auction With a Twist. Our club auctioneer will have more on that and other network news on this issue's "From Behind the Green Curtain".

In closing I would like to extend a special thank you to those members who donated auction lots to the WINS treasury.
