A bright light in our hobby was extinguished today when a great numismatist and a genuinely altruistic friend passed away. Joe Garbarini, WINS#9, you will truly be missed.

All of the WINS domain's email addresses have been deactived and it is not known when or if they will be reactiviated. While the exact reason for the deactivation has not been made clear, it can be assumed that they were all harvested and used by SPAMMERS.

ELECTION UPDATE
WINS President Ralph Huntzinger has announced that the polls are open for the election of officers. Voting is restricted to active members (as define in the Bylaws), but if you have any questions about your membership status, action or inactive, please feel free to contact the Operations Admin. The polls will be open until 12:00 midnight MST on Tuesday, December 18th.

WINS President Ralph Huntzinger has announced the start of the upcoming WINS elections by providing threads on the WINS Business List for "Nominations" and "Discussions Pertaining to the 2007 WINS Board of Directors Elections". While actual voting is restricted to "active" members, non-active members interested in participating should contact the Operations Admin or any Board Member for directions on how to proceed.

EMAIL LISTS PROBLEMS
The Email List server is hard down, but there is a ray of hope. The site owner explained that there is an telephone issue that has been narrowed down to the telephone company itself and the service was suppose to have been restored by noon today. It hasn't happened yet, and it may be a while yet before the service returns so please have patience.

EMAIL LISTS PROBLEMS
Today Bellsouth (now AT&T) began blocking all email (such as WINS email lists) that is sent to more than 10 people. Such email are marked as SPAM and will not be forwarded. It is unclear, but this may affect both a Bellsouth users send and receive abilities. If you are a Bellsouth user and are having problems receiving or sending to the wins-talk and wins-trade Lists, you should contact them to verify this blocking.
