From The Editor
I enjoyed working with some of you to put this newsletter together. Thank you for sharing your experience and your knowledge. With your help, it is very likely that I will be able to achieve my goal I set early this year, to publish four newsletters by the end of the year.
It is always great to hear from WINS members from around the world, and get a glimpse into collecting in other countries. This time, Dave Roe who is now living in Italy, wrote a nice piece about his experiences.
It was exactly 50 years ago that Australia moved to the decimal currency. Quentin Christensen from Australia wrote an article explaining the history behind this change, as well as a brief history of Australian coinage.
Brandon sent us an interesting piece again, about the Lusitania medal. It is one of those constant reminders how much we can learn about history through numismatics. This time, Brandon takes us back to the first World War.
Happy collecting!
