WINS Domain and Email Lists - The email Lists continue to function, as well as, and maybe even better than the original lists. Ya' don't suppose that upgraded software would have anything to do with it, now would it? To date, the only complaints I've seen have been directed more at me for how I interpret the Posting Rules and perform my admin duties than at the lists or how they work. But, that's OK. I know full well that it's almost impossible to please everybody all of the time, but with some, it's a given. Regardless, the email lists are functioning better than I had hoped.

I have notice a couple of things list members are doing rather often that they may want to watch out for; trying to send HTML email to the Lists and using an email address other than their enrolled address. Both of these will bounce a post. The system "round files" the first sending me the only copy, while it notifies me that a "Non Member" is trying to post to the Lists in the case of the second. Just as you should always re-read what you keyed before you send it, you should also look your email send setting over before you hit "ENTER". It will save you having to resend the post again so why not take the time to do it right in the first place?

IT Hints - Here's some information provided by Howard Spindel, WINS#181 that I found most helpful. It will help you protect your system and yourself, and offers solutions for those of you would like an option to the "attack ridden" browser, Internet Explorer (IE) and the AOL "modified in my image" Netscape.
