Hi Friends,
You may have noticed I have been silent re the political messages. That is because I believe majority rules and the majority are silent. To me that means they are either satisfied or don't care. My only comment about don't care is if you want WINS to continue so that you may enjoy the benefits available you must realize that someone must work and someone must pony up with financial help.
We are fortunate to have several who are willing to do the work -- JD, Roy, Rod, Ray and others. Also folks who make anonymous and public donations to the WIN'S Treasury.
Re Fred's comments about the auction it must be realized that we are a small group. A small bargain or profit is the primary motive for participation (well maybe just a wish to have a particular item) and even that requires the potential participant have a positive current cash flow.
All of our members do not have that positive cash flow. In fact my conversations with many of you indicates you purchase coins at the margin of other needs.
I appreciate Fred's comments about me as a source for coins and his purchases. It should be recognized that most folk's who are offering coins have purchased them at recent current market price and are selling with the hope of a small profit. The exceptions are the individuals who are trying to make the WINS auction more interesting
or maybe someone else like me who, not only has that motive, but who also wishes to place
his collection in the hands of collectors rather than a bulk dealer.
JD says there are aprox. 70+ WINS (change to read 70 active) members. A substantial portion of that number have purchased from or sold coins to me. Not once has there been a member who did not offer a fair price or complete the transaction.
Folks we are a good group. Any future actions should keep that in mind.
My best to you,
Joe
