LOT 58. 1986 UNCIRCULATED SILVER EAGLE
Gorgeous White High Grade. Produced by the US Mint, one ounce of .999 fine silver. The Silver Eagle Dollar is the first series of US coins to ever be minted in pure silver. Silver Eagles are legal tender coins, but were actually made for bullion investment. Many collectors have full sets of these dated Silver Eagles in quality, high-grade condition. This coin is high grade, bright-white with a very frosty, matte finish. It has fantastic luster and no readily-discernible imperfections. 1986 is a better date Silver Eagle, as it is the first year of mintage for this series of Silver Dollars. This Silver Eagle comes, as shown, in an insert which is enclosed in a hard plastic, snap-lock case. This coin is part of a group of Silver Eagles I purchased for the purpose of having them certified. I sent a portion of this group to NGC and all of those came back MS-69. Winning bidder pays an additional $1.00 to cover First Class shipping, plus an optional $1.30 for insurance if desired. Payment in U.S. dollars may be made by cash, money order, check, or PayPal.
PLEASE NOTE: The proceeds from this coin will be donated to the WINS Treasury. So be sure to bid early and often.

A nice older and scarce Silver Art Bar to add to your collection. Winning bidder pays an additional $1.00 to cover First Class shipping, plus an optional $1.30 for insurance if desired. Payment in U.S. dollars may be made by cash, money order, check, or PayPal.

LOT 61. MARDI GRAS DOUBLOONS
These alumminum daubloons were once the rage during the Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans from the '60s, through the '90s and tossed to onlooker from the floats during the parade. Quite collectiable with values ranging from 25¢ for the silver commons to as high as $20 for some of the rarer brightly colored ones. In more recent years, the trend has shifted to beads and fewer daubloons are produced making these a unique little piece of Americana. There's even a wooden one in this group.

--- JOE'S "HAT" DRAWING ---

Joe Garbarini is once again spreading goodwill and sharing his lifelong collection with club members that participate in the auction. He will place the names of participating members into his hat and draw for the items listed below. Winners receive items at no cost.

  1. 1/2 2003 Proof Set --the state quarters-- each year the other half or in earlier years the entire set goes into a trophy for the most improved golfer in what this year will be the 34th 8th Federal Reserve District Golf Tournament that I started in 1970. If you want a real collecting challenge try and put together a set of the trophys.
  2. A Lincoln and Jefferson off center.
  3. Oh boy this one should be fun--a 14" by 7 1/2" 40 slot panel which contains "V" Nickels with dates from 1883 to 1912-D (sorry no S) and 1956 Jefferson clips with price tabs that should make you laugh or cry. This is not a full panel.
  4. A panel from Sufa Fiji Phil. Bureau, postmarked 26 June 1984 with six encapulated coins, and a 6C stamp depicting the Suva Post Office.
