It’s time again for yet another presidents letter, the first of the 2016 season and first of my second term as president. I am very pleased to see the activity on the talk list picking up quite a bit. A lot of good interesting topics and posting of some very nice coin photography. I feel very lucky to have a friendly reliable source to go to when I have questions about the hobby; members here are always treated with respect and no question is too silly or embarrassing to ask. WINS is defiantly a family rather than just a club or forum, something that very few coin groups offer.

The last auction seems to have gone very well, we are getting a lot more participation in both listing and purchasing, keep in mind a lot of our members may not have a chance to get out much due to physical problems or long distances from cities or towns. The WINS auction is a chance for them to participate in the hobby and add to their collections.

If you have any suggestions or questions about the group and its plans for the future, please feel free to contact me or any other board member as we are always looking for ways to improve Wins and make it the best place possible on the web for our members.

I personally like posting pics and getting helpful suggestions on how to improve my coin photography. I also enjoy looking at all the pics posted by some of our very talented photographers; I’ve learned a lot from seeing their technique used in their displays. If any member may wish to post pics but have no site to post them to, please contact me and I will see they get posted for you to display.

This will be our new editors first news letter, Tom Babinszki graciously offered to help out as a board member and take over the duties as Newsletter Editor. I look forward to reading his first issue of The Tarnished Truth, I’m sure it will be an interesting one. I hope to see the group participate in upcoming newsletters; I know Tom will appreciate any articles or ideas for future publications.
