The President's Corner
- Winter / Spring 2015 -

Hello again WINS,

I hope all is well with our members and their families. It's time for another Newsletter and a chance to get a little information out to the group. We will be conducting our elections for board of director's positions for the upcoming two year term later this year. The new board will take over beginning January 2016, so give it some thought and if you feel you would like to participate please do so at the appropriate time. I bring this up now to allow plenty of time for our members to consider running for one of the seven offices. Please read all applicable rules and information found on our website under the BYLAWS tab.

I would also like to take time to update you on the progress of the silver 15th Anniversary Token we polled the group about months ago. A new motion was introduced to the board by Brandon Frei, our newsletter editor, in attempt to better clarify some of the points of concern brought up by members of the board. I am happy to say the motion has passed by majority vote of the board and will be implemented in the coming weeks. Some information pertaining to this can be found in this newsletter with a formal announcement by myself and our treasurer Ken Hughes following in the near future. Without taking up all of my allotted space in this newsletter, I would like to simply say it looks as if we will indeed have a silver token to go along with our copper piece.

Both the talk list and trade list have been a little slow this summer with an occasional topic popping up now and then that draws a little chatter, I look for that to change a little during the winter months. The summer times are full of numerous sporting events and other family oriented activities that keep us all pretty busy.

I know with all the things that need to be done around the house, my coin interest usually get put on the back burner. While I have made most of my local meetings, I have missed out on some of the big shows; I hope to make the ANA show in Chicago this year.

We have two more auctions coming up this year and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all that have participated in the past auctions. We have had many nice items up for auction this year and some pretty good bidding on some of our donated lots. If you start rummaging through your extra items now, you could possibly have a few goodies for our future auctions when the time comes.

I hope all enjoy the remainder of this year and the years to come, look forward to your future lists postings.

Dave Noble,
WINS#204, President
