Hello everyone, and welcome to this issue of the Tarnished Truth.

Well, it's October, and in my neck of the woods, that means rain - and lots of it. It also means the process is underway to elect the next office term for WINS board members. The next two-year term will take effect on January 1st, 2008. Our president has much more on that in this month's installment of the President's Corner.

As I write this, we are currently in the middle of Auction #45, which comes to a close on Saturday October 13th. There are quite a few nice looking lots available, some of which still don't have bids! So, if you haven't done so already, take a moment and check it out.

I'd also like to add a quick note on the 2007 Newsletter Contest. If you haven't had a chance to read about it yet, it's not too late! You still have an opportunity to submit your article for the December issue. So far, we have had some excellent contributions this year - including a very interesting article submitted by Ray Larson in this very issue. Thanks Ray, and thanks to all the other members who have sent in a contribution for the newsletter.
