WINS Email Lists - You can tell it's summer, the talk list is sooooo quiet.  I suppose that could be considered a good thing because a quiet list equals no problems which, really helps this time of year.  My honey-do list is unbelievable and with sunset around 7:50 PM, I have longer to work on it.  If you are experiencing any list problems, please contact me.

Assistance Still Needed - I am putting together images and descriptions of counterfeit and fake coins for an online WINS article and I am still looking for more examples.  If you have any counterfeit and/or fake coins and would like to have the image and data included please contact me.

Auction News - Auction 42 ran from May 19-28 and was quite successful.  The re-modified Auction Rule #9 caused minor confusion again, but we are considering going back to the previous modified version.  Hey, change is good,... right?  Of course, it would also help if everyone would remember that the WINS auctions are NOT ebay.  Let's do everything we can to keep our auction a much more friendly.  Auction 43 is scheduled to open on June 30 and run through July 7, and I am very busy getting the data loaded.  Please remember to follow the submission guidelines in the Auction Rules, and keep the images you send me to a reasonable size.

There is still much interest in automating the auction, but I'm not certain if I'm ding a really bad job or if I'm being looked after.  However, it looks like auction software is going to be out of reach for a while.  I'm looking into other options, but I have reservations about this whole automated auction idea.  Once automated, the WINS family friendly atmosphere will probably go right out the window.  I can see members using sniping software just like they do on ebay, and images so large that those of us with slow dial-up access will be excluded altogether.  I suppose we'll just have to see how this plays out.
