The Tarnished Truth
*** Vol III *** November 2004 *** Issue 13 ***

Howdy Folks - Welcome to The Tarnished Truth !

Boy how time flies ! Here it is November already - 2004 is all but gone. All in all it has been a pretty good year for me. I have been able to make many wonderful new additions to my collection - hope you all have been able to do the same ;-} Based on the emails and the shared pics on the Talk List, I would have to say that many of you have indeed !

I have also learned a great deal this year. Much of this has been due to the focus of my collection being world coinage. I have been forced to learn how to muddle through reading French and Dutch - and believe me when I tell you that languages are not one of my strong points. Nonetheless, along with the help of many WINS members I have been able to determine or decipher the information I needed to know for my personal use or to help others.

That's truly one of the great things about WINS. Our society is so diverse, and the members so knowledgeable, that almost any question can be answered just by asking. Of course there are a few that cannot be answered so easily - but that just makes it that much more fun. For I truly love doing the research and finding answers to the difficult questions. So if there is something you have always wondered about, perhaps a particular coin or variety - ask about it on the Talk List. And if you are someone who just stops by this site every now and then to read the Newsletter - consider joining WINS and participate on the Talk List. Ask your questions and find your answers - share in the fun and enjoyment of sharing knowledge with another about this hobby that we all love so dearly.

And let's not forget that submissions for Member Bios and articles on any numismatic subject are always welcome ;-}

That's about it for now - I hope you enjoy this as well as future issues of - The Tarnished Truth.
