From The Editor

It is with deep sadness that I have to share with you that our librarian, John Mundwiller, WINS#525 has passed away. I am starting the newsletter with Dave Noble's remembrance of John.

This is a relatively unusual newsletter, as all the articles are around one particular topic. It is about numismatics around the world. Over the last couple of years, I have been to many places around the world. Before my trips, my first question was, where can I find things of numismatic interests. Information was scarce, and not even always available in English.

This gave me the idea that since we are an international club anyway with members from all around the world, why not ask our club members to describe numismatics in their own countries. A few people agreed, so we have the following:

  • Australia: Quentin Christensen
  • Hungary: Tom Babinszki
  • Ireland: Aidan Keady
  • Japan: Tian M. Kuo

I hope you will enjoy reading about numismatics around the world, straight from our own menbers.

Happy collecting!

Tom Babinszki, WINS#919, Editor
